Franklin Park, PA · The process

How this site works

Three steps, and the honest limits of each one. If any part of this is not what you expected, it is better to find out now than after you have sent your details.

  1. You tell us what you need

What is happening with your heating or cooling, your ZIP code, how soon you need someone, and how to reach you. It takes about a minute.

  2. We pass the request on

Your request goes to HVAC professionals who serve Franklin Park, with the detail you provided so they can arrive prepared.

  3. A contractor contacts you

They contact you directly to arrange a visit and discuss price. Everything after that point is between you and them.

What we do, and what we don’t

What we do

  • Provide information for homeowners about common HVAC problems and decisions.
  • Take your description of the problem and your contact details.
  • Pass that request to HVAC professionals who work in the Franklin Park area.
  • Tell you clearly if a submission fails rather than showing a false confirmation.

What we don’t do

  • We do not perform HVAC work. We employ no technicians, hold no HVAC licence, and own no service vehicles.
  • We do not set or quote prices. Any figure you are given comes from the contractor.
  • We do not guarantee a match or a response time. Availability depends on contractors, and it tightens sharply during a cold snap or a heat wave.
  • We do not currently claim to screen contractors. We are not describing a vetting, licensing or background-check process, because we will not claim a process we cannot document. Verify credentials yourself before hiring — see below.
  • We do not supervise or warrant the work. Your agreement is with the contractor.
Before you hire anyone, ask for their Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration number, ask for evidence of liability insurance, confirm who is pulling any permit the borough requires, and get the scope and price in writing before work starts or money changes hands. That is sensible with any contractor from any source, including this one.

What happens to what you tell us

The details you submit — what is wrong, your ZIP code, your name, phone number, email address and any description you add — are used to route your request to HVAC professionals so they can contact you about it. Sharing those details with contractors is the entire purpose of the form, and the consent checkbox on it says so.

We do not sell your information for unrelated marketing. Our Privacy Policy sets out the specifics, including how to ask us to remove your details.

Getting the most out of it

Be specific about the symptom. “Furnace ignites, runs about four minutes, then shuts down and starts again” is worth far more to a contractor than “furnace broken”, and it makes it more likely the right part is on the van. Our furnace repair and AC repair pages list the checks worth doing first and the details worth collecting.

If your situation is urgent, say so and choose “As soon as possible”. Then read emergency HVAC, which covers protecting your pipes and staying warm safely — and contact contractors directly as well. We would rather you got help quickly than waited on any one channel, including ours.

Common questions about the process

Does it cost anything to use this site?

No. Sending a request is free to you. Any service call fee, diagnostic charge or price for work is agreed directly between you and the contractor.

Am I obliged to hire whoever contacts me?

No. A request is a request. You can get other quotes, decline, or change your mind. We are not a party to any agreement you reach with a contractor, and we have no role in the price you are quoted.

Will you definitely find someone for me?

We cannot guarantee that, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise. We pass your request to HVAC professionals serving the area, but whether one takes it up depends on their availability and workload. If your situation is urgent, contact contractors directly as well rather than relying on this alone.

How many contractors will contact me?

It varies, and we do not set a fixed number. Your request may go to more than one professional so you have a realistic chance of a timely response. If you would prefer to be contacted a particular way, or at particular times, say so in the description box and pass it on again when someone reaches you.

How do I stop being contacted?

Tell whoever contacts you that you are no longer looking and ask them not to contact you again. To ask us to remove your request details from our own records, email us using the address in our Privacy Policy.
